What´s that bright thing in the sky for the past 2 weeks ???

Well the past two weeks has been eventful to say the least . But I will start of with the headline , you may be thinking I am over exaggerating with this coment but the fact is Dublin has been expericing better weather than Spain for 2 weeks !!!!
It´s really funny when the sun comes out here , people dont know what´s going on !!! There walking around with faces as red as tomattoes !!! Everybody flocks to the nearest park to sit for the day along with 24 bottles of Miller ;) As most countries in Europe are guarenteed a couple of weeks during the summer of good weather , right here in Ireland we are lucky if we get one weekend of sunshine so to get 2 weeks of sun is insane !!!!

During are glorious wheather Ingela made a long trip alone from Sundsvall to Dublin. We met her at the Spire on Dublins O´Connell St, and had some lunch & bacially did some catching up . I think this whole trip for Ingela was one big adventure . It was her first time travelling alone , she was going to finally see the "big" apartment , & I think the scaryest thing of all .... Lisa driving on the wrong side of the road !!!!
Friday evening was full of drinks & laughs in the Celt a place which has seen many a drunken person so we didnt let them drunken persons of days gone by down :) Only messing we were drunk but merry !!! As for Enda .... Well he`s Enda and I could write a book on his goings on !!!!!!!
With a fantastic Saturday morning saw the 3 of us going for a long walk in what is probally one of the hidden gems in Dublins fair city , just a 5 minute drive from the apartment lies a beach by the name of Dollymont which runs for miles & miles, I think this was an eye opener for Ingela ...

As the walk had made up an appitet for all of us I decided to take over the kitchen & try sturr up my house special.

It would also see me make my first dinner to Ingela & probally more surprising my own mother !!! Shocker I know , but I say better late than never :) I think over all the food & drink went down a threat  & I am now considering opening up at resturaunt in Sundsvall  :)
What does Sunday morning mean in Ireland ??? Answer : Fry up breakfast . After the night before confidence was at a high so I dished up a "Full Irish Beakfast", sausages , rashers , beans , toast. Again this went down well . The more I write the more that resturant in Sundsvall is apealing to me :)
After breakie Lisa took us on a long drive through the city & up to the Dublin / Wicklow mountains to the haunted "Hell Fire Club" . As we made our way up the mountain he stopped briefly to turn a look out a the view below us .... Breath taking !!!
As we got to the top the house was really eary but the view is one of these pictures which will never leave your memory.
Monday morning seem me back to work but the girls contuined there holiday. Ingela was keen to see an "open garden" which I have never really  heard of... But Lisa had the perfect idea , a trip to the Botanic Gardens again a 10 minute drive from our apartment. When I met them after there day Ingela seemed very impressed by these gardens , Lisa said we should go there some time but my diary is fully booked for the year Lisa so many 2010 !!! Monday evening took us to my mothers house for a full roast dinner with some wine. It was really nice to see my mother & Lisa mother get to know each other a lot more as over the the 5 days when Ingela was here my mother spent 3 days in our company. So for me this was really special.

Can you beleave it Tuesday & the sun is still shining praise the lord for global warming ... Lisa again took her mother for a spin around the coastal area of Dublins North Side. Malahide is a small fishing town with warm pubs & friendley resturaunts to suit anybody, so they spent some time in the cosy little village. After a while they decided to hit the beach in Portmarnock, to Lisa & Ingelas surprise the beach was packed & people were even swimming in the chilling Irish sea !!!
As they arrived home from another eventfully day we finished of the holiday in our local pub with some really really good pub food & some Smithwicks :) Then for Ingelas last Dublin experience was a trip to the local Cinema to try the famous butter popcorn :) Many a Swede has tried it but not many liked it so much, but I think Ingela like the whole holiday was plesently surpr
All in all I think this trip for Ingela was great learnig experience in a way that she now knows there is more to Dublin than its millions of pubs,

Nice reading. You are the best son in law. I really think you could make it as a restaurant owner.
